What is the National Nutrition Mission (Potion Abhiyan) and how will the loan help it?

The Prime Minister launched the nutrition campaign in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan on 8 March 2018.

Under ICDS scheme, breastfeeding women and children up to 3 years of age are provided with quality nutrition.

Objective of National Nutrition Mission (NNM)

More than 10 crore people will get benefit from this program.

Other important areas of National Nutrition Mission (NNM):

All nutritional based schemes will be included in this project and on the basis of performance, incentives will be provided to states, communities, health workers etc.

• This program will try to reduce the level of dwarfness, undernutrition, blood loss and low birth weight children through the goals.

* Work is being done to provide 1000 calories to women and 600 calories to children.

• Nutrition of food, sustainable solution through breastfeeding, dietary diversification, sugar to meet this goal
