Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission Information || Navoday Vidhyalay admission information Online applications have been invited this year for the selection test for admission to Navodaya Vidhyalay in the state. So far offline applications had to be made for this. In the next academic year (2022-23), this selection test will be conducted for admission to class VI. Interested and eligible students can apply till November 30 to appear for this exam.
Question – Which class can get admission in Navodaya Vidyalaya?
In Navodaya Vidyalayas in the state, only 6th class can be admitted. For this, one has to appear for the selection test while in class V. These admissions are given in order of merit based on the marks in this examination.
From when can applications for this selection test be made?
Up to class VIII, education is imparted through mother tongue or regional level language. After that two subjects Mathematics and English are taught through English medium and Social Science is taught through Hindi medium.
What are the exact benefits of admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya?
The education of the students admitted in this school is free. All the students of this school are provided free food, accommodation, uniform and textbooks till class VIII. However, from class 9 onwards a nominal fee of Rs.600 per month is charged as school development fund. All girls, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Handicapped and students from below poverty line families are excluded from this nominal fee. A school development fund fee of Rs.1500 per student per month is collected from parents who are government employees.
Admission applications are only accepted from residents of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located. However, the old district boundaries are taken into consideration for the purposes of eligibility for admission in the JNVs in the district where the JNV is opened and is bifurcated at a later date. This is applicable to situations where a new Vidyalaya has not yet been established in the district that was recently divided.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti Candidates taking the selection test must be enrolled in Class V for the entire academic year in a government-funded, other recognised school or in the National Institute of Open Schooling’s “B” Certificate Competency Course in the same district where they are applying for admission.
A school will be regarded as having been recognised if the government or any other agency acting on the government’s behalf declares it to be so. Schools should be NIOS-accredited if students there received “B” certificates from the National Institute of Open Schooling. A candidate must finish Class V with honours. These requirements must be met in order to actually be admitted to Class VI.
